Welcome to Next Level Activities, the Morgan County Library’s dedicated program for kids ages 8–12! This is a space designed specifically for older kids to hang out, try new things, leave the "little kid" activities behind, and connect with peers.
Each session offers a fresh mix of hands-on creativity, mind-boggling science, and energetic outdoor fun. It’s the perfect place to level up your skills and your free time!
What We Do
Our activities rotate weekly to keep things fresh and exciting, focusing on three main areas:
Next-Level Crafts: Move beyond basic coloring pages. We dive into multi-step art projects, unique DIY creations, and hands-on making.
STEM Challenges: Fun science experiments, structural engineering builds, and logic puzzles that challenge your brain.
Outdoor Games: High-energy group games, team challenges, and active fun out in the fresh air (weather permitting!).
Program Details
Who: Kids ages 8–12 (Note: To keep the focus on older youth, we kindly ask that younger siblings sit this one out and join our Tuesday Story Hour).
When: Tuesday from 11am – 12pm.
Where: Morgan County Library
Cost: Free!
A Quick Note on Clothing: Because we love a good science experiment, an involved art project, and running around outside, please make sure to wear clothes and shoes that are ready for movement and a little bit of a mess!
