Story Walk through Riverside Park

A Story Walk is a unique way for children and adults to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time! It is an interactive, outdoor literacy experience where pages from a children’s picture book are installed on stations along a walking path. As you stroll down the trail, you’re directed to the next page in the story.

How Does It Work?

Walk & Read: Follow the signs in order to read the story from beginning to end.

Stay Active: It turns a standard walk in the park into an adventure for the imagination.

Why We Host It:
The Morgan County Library is committed to bringing literacy into the community. Story Walks promote healthy outdoor activity, early childhood development, and a lifelong love of books—all in the beautiful setting of Riverside Park.

Plan Your Visit:

Location: The trail begins along the Mickelsen Mile right off of Trojan Blvd. and walking towards 100 E.

Accessibility: The path is stroller, scooter, bike and wheelchair-friendly.

Updates: We rotate our featured book every month in the winter and every two weeks in the summer, so there is always a new adventure waiting for you!
